My Most Worn Items - July 2018
Edited April 2020
Will I ever stop talking about clothes?
I love clothes. Like a lot. So, this was super difficult to narrow down, but I tried my best. Any other outfits that I like will be featured on my Instagram (when I actually find photos that I like).
Pyjamas and Sliders
I had to put my pyjamas and sliders together as they’re pretty much what I live in. I vary between pyjamas depending on my mood, where I am, who I’m with and what the weather is like. But the floral ones are definitely one of my current favourites. And yes, they’re from trusty Primark.
Men’s T-shirts
(I have no idea what my feet are doing in these photos)
I love wearing large men’s t-shirts as t-shirt dresses. Or I’ll wear them tucked into jeans, or shorts or a skirt. They’re often cheaper than women’s tops/dresses and super comfy. I’ve even bought men’s t-shirts and cropped them to make cute, oversized crop.
Black Jeans
(shout-out to Ewan for making my stomach look a lot flatter than it is)
For a few years I went off wearing jeans. I don’t remember the reason why, but clearly, I was just being daft. I now pretty much live in jeans (when I actually decide to get dressed). These jeans are from Primark (naturally) and they’re the comfiest and most flattering jeans that I own. I can’t afford to test many other brands of jeans, but if I do, I’ll let you know. Jeans can be worn to uni, shopping, on a date, on a night out – absolutely anywhere that you want to wear them (minus the obvious exceptions). I just love these jeans and I will continue to wear them until my thighs inevitably rub away the material.
Converse
I’ve only started wearing Converse in the last two years or so. But I definitely wish I’d bought myself a pair years ago. They’re my go to shoe whenever I need to leave the house. I currently have two pairs – one black and one white – but I’m hoping to considerably expand my collection when I start to earn money. They’re comfy, they can be worn with almost anything and I just love them.
Honourable Mentions
Denim Skirt
Due to my recent weight loss, most of my clothes don’t fit me anymore. So, when I realised that my denim skirt didn’t fit me anymore, I headed straight to Primark to get myself a new one. I love wearing a denim skirt with bodysuits and converse or even tights and boots in the winter. I find them very comfortable and flattering and had to give it a mention in this list.
Bodysuits
Want the look of wearing something tucked in without the annoying bunching? Then bodysuits are the answer. They come in so many different styles, shapes and colours and my wardrobe is filled with them. I even wore this one as a bather in the sea once.
Burgundy Boots
These are my babies. They would have been mentioned higher up, but the weather has been so hot lately, that I’ve hardly worn them. They’re from Public Desire. Sadly, they’re not currently available. However, Public Desire do offer a variety of amazing footwear - so check them out here. Yes, I want them all. They’re great for lifting a casual outfit and making you feel that bit more dressed up. And they’re so much easier to walk in on the streets of Liverpool on a night out.
Pink Fluffy Backpack
For the longest time, I wasn’t the biggest fan of backpacks. But I needed something to carry my essentials in while I was out shopping. So, I gave in and bought this backpack from New Look (can’t find it on the website but loads of shops sell different varieties). I now take this bag everywhere with me!! And I’ve even recently purchased a new one. It’s red faux leather and has Mickey Mouse’s face on.
Sunglasses
I recently misplaced my prescription sunglasses, so decided to just pick up some normal ones – and I love them. It doesn’t really bother me that I can’t see because I like how they look and I always have my normal glasses to hand in case I actually need to see anything. Although, I could really do with some prescription sunglasses but they’re expensive…it’s not my fault that I can’t see well haha!
Yellow Raincoat
I used to hate coats. And umbrellas. How I survived in the Welsh weather I’ll never know. I’d been eyeing up a similar style of coat in Topshop but had never convinced myself to buy it. Then I spotted this one in ASDA and just had to get it. It was gifted to me by my Aunty as she was excited that I’d actually found a coat that I liked. The weather is highly unpredictable, so I always have this to hand. And you wouldn’t lose me in a crowd at least.
Just look how happy I am when I wear it.
I really enjoyed looking at what I spend most of my time wearing. I will definitely try and do more of these.
