My Love For Bleach London
Edited April 2020
In this post I will specifically be talking about their hair dye as I haven’t really tried any of their other products (besides their Swamp Spritz Sea Spray which I also love).
Now let’s actually start talking about the subject of this blog post, shall we?
My ex-housemate Jess introduced me to Bleach London months ago (I traipsed through my many many photos and discovered that I first used it in on April 8th and I can’t believe that it was so long ago) and I’ve never looked back. It’s basically a hair mask with dye in it (well that’s what it feels like). It dyes your hair, but still leaves it feeling soft and undamaged. Also, it doesn’t have that strong smell that you typically expect.
When it was first dyed we just used the colour ‘I Saw Red’ over a blonde box dye. And pretty much everyone loved it! I’d wanted to be red for the longest time and I was so incredibly happy with it.
As time went on, I gradually introduced more orange (‘Tangerine Dream’) with the intention for me to end up a dark orange/gingery colour. However, I am undecided whether or not I am going to continue with this plan.
Jess and I dyed my hair again the other day. But this time we used Bleach London’s ‘No Bleach Bleach’ as my roots looked terrible.
We fully intended on taking photos while dyeing my hair this time. But we forgot. However, Ewan did manage to capture a couple of great angles…
The ‘No Bleach Bleach’ kit is amazing. It did still produce occasional wafts of that typical hair bleach smell, but it was nowhere near as intense. And my hair still felt really soft afterwards.
I find using Bleach London hair dyes like having a spa day. I think the fact that Jess does my hair influences that. They’re nourishing, cooling and produce amazing colours. I buy my products in-store from Boots or Superdrug, but Bleach London also have their own website if you want to have a browse at their full collection. Their Instagram is also an amazing place to find inspiration. I’m forever browsing through it.
I mentioned recently in my Autumn/Winter Inspirations post that I want to go back to being brunette. But every time I see myself in the mirror, I feel more me with red hair. So, I’m kinda stuck. If anyone has any suggestions, I’d be happy to hear them. Update: I am back as a brunette - let’s see how long it lasts.
I think the only way to sum up this post is by saying that I just really bloody love Bleach London hair dye!
More photos will hopefully be up in a few weeks for my ‘21st Birthday blog post’ and on Instagram.
