3 Ways to Style A Denim Boiler Suit
I have completely fallen in love with this denim boiler suit from Primark. But I wasn’t always so convinced. For months before I bought it, I saw so many people wearing some sort of boiler suit and I always thought that they looked great. However, because I’m short and curvy, I didn’t think that it would suit me. But one day while I was browsing Primark, I decided to try one on and ended up loving it.
So, I thought I would create this post to hopefully give you some styling inspiration for when we eventually leave the house. I have styled the boiler suit 3 ways – casual, lunch with the girls and out-out. All of these outfits can be worn for any occasion, this is just some inspiration. Also, all of the pieces are items that I already had in my wardrobe – a bit of a shop my stash. Happy reading.
Casual
For the casual outfit I have added a fun, striped t-shirt (similar). I thought that it added a pop of colour and brightened the outfit. For shoes I chose a pair of sandals (similar) as they’re easy to chuck on and off whenever necessary. Finally, I’ve got my fluffy pink backpack (similar) – perfect for popping to the shops. I’ve styled my hair with two mini bunches on top of my head with messy curls, as it’s my new go-to style currently.
Another option would be to pair this outfit with a pair of chunky trainers. I am absolutely in love with these from Koi Footwear and they’re definitely on my wish list.
Lunch With The Girls
For this outfit I have gone for pink and leopard print. I absolutely love wearing printed items, so this is an easy, go-to style for me. I love having the long sleeves of my leopard print high neck (similar) sticking out from the rolled-up sleeves of the boiler suit. And the leopard shoes (similar) are another easy to slip-on option, but still look like you’ve made the effort. I’ve also fallen for the small bag trend (similar). I’m not sure how, as growing up I was always the friend with the massive Mary Poppins bag that held anything that you’d ever need. But I’m not mad at it. I’ve opted for a simple, sleek down-do with the addition of a pink, velvet headband (similar). I also own this headband in black and I wear them constantly as they’re so easy to wear and always adds something to a simple hairstyle.
Out-Out
For the final outfit I have swapped the denim belt for a red pleather one (similar). I wasn’t sure if I would like the outfit with a different belt on me, but I actually do. To make it more ‘out-out’ style I have lowered the zip and got some cleavage on show. For me, this is a sure-fire way to make my outfits look good for a night out. My boobs are something that helps me feel confident in my body, so I often wear outfits that accentuate them. Click here for my post all about boobs. I have also added a red bag (similar) and red lip (this one) to tie the look together. For the sake of this post I have added heels to this look (similar). However, I very rarely wear heels on a night out in Liverpool as there are too many cobbled and uneven surfaces to fall on. But I do wear heels when I go out when I’m back home in Wales.
Obviously, you can’t guarantee anything when you go into Primark as each shop often stocks different quantities of items. Therefore, I have linked some other boiler suits below.
ASOS - ASOS have so many gorgeous boiler suits and it’s kind of tempting me to get some in other colours/materials!
Next - Next have some really lovely looking denim boiler suits available
Nasty Gal - Nasty Gal have a variety of different boiler suits in lots of different shapes
Boohoo - Boohoo are also offering a great selection
I’ll be honest, I haven’t been getting dressed that much during isolation because for some reason I don’t own much loungewear – so therefore, mostly wore pyjamas. However, I do enjoy occasionally making the effort and the denim boiler suit is now one of my go-to outfits. And although I am super anxious about going “back to normal” and leaving the house, at least it means I can actually wear these outfits out of the house😂.
I hope you’ve found some inspiration throughout this post. How do you/would you style a denim boiler suit? Let me know in the comments below. And if anyone knows of any good charity shops/vintage shops that sell these kind of things - please let me know.
I hope that you’re all doing well. And don’t forget to follow my socials.
